Young Women's Retreat

KEEPING SABBATH: The 2010 Young Women’s Retreat at Blue Ridge, GA. March 13-14, 2010, The second annual Young Women’s 24-hour Retreat will be held in the beautiful Blue Ridge cabins of parishioners Stefi Ortman and John and Mary Kirkland. The retreat will again be facilitated by the Rev. Alison Schultz. Last year’s retreat drew over twenty women, and all reported it a meaningful experience. There is no cost for this retreat, thanks to the generosity of Stefi and the Kirklands. The collected women will depart at lunch on Saturday from St. Peter’s (carpooling is a good idea) and will leave Blue Ridge at lunch on Sunday. If you have infants, you may bring them and arrangements can be made (as we did last year). Please bring a small item that is important to your life

Parking Reminder

PARKING ON FIRST STREET: In order to alleviate a safety concern, the City of Rome has advised us that they have painted a Yellow Curb on the church side of First Street from its intersection with Fourth Avenue until just before the first handicap parking space next to the Church. This is so vehicles traveling uphill from Fourth Avenue will not have to swerve into the oncoming turn lane to avoid cars parked along First Street. Please be aware of this change and obey the law. Remember that ample parking is available all day Saturday, Sunday and during the week after 5:30 in the Fourth Avenue Parking deck across First Street from the Church. Tickets will be issued by the city.
