SUMMER CAMP AT MIKELL Here's an excerpt from the description of traditional camp at Mikell: “Fun, friendship, and God come together to create a joyous, one-of-a kind experience called Camp Mikell.” If you’d like to learn more about this and other camp opportunities (such as mini, performing arts, and outdoor camp), go to http://www.campmikell.com/Summer%20Camps.htm. But do it soon, because the bunkhouses are filling up fast! For information on scholarships, please contact Anna Erickson. SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR CAMP MIKELL Camp can be a wonderfully formative experience for young people. But it can also be expensive, and for many, the cost is prohibitive. If you are one of the many who has benefitted from camp experience, or if you simply want to share this opportunity with St. Peter's children and youth, please consider making a contribution to our scholarship fund. To do so, make your check out to St. Peter’s, designate it for the "Camp Mikell Scholarship Fund," and put it in the collection plate or send it to the office. Your contributions/investments are greatly appreciated!

Parking on First Street

Thursday, January 07, 2010
PARKING ON FIRST STREET: In order to alleviate a safety concern, the City of Rome has advised us that they will be painting a Yellow Curb on the church side of First Street from its intersection with Fourth Avenue until just before the first handicap parking space next to the Church. This is so vehicles traveling uphill from Fourth Avenue will not have to swerve into the oncoming turn lane to avoid cars parked along First Street. Please be aware of this change and obey the law…..Remember that ample parking is available all day Saturday, Sunday and during the week after 5:30 in the Fourth Avenue Parking deck across First Street from the Church. Once the yellow curb is painted, tickets will be issued by the city.
